As the Carolina's longest running Bboy squad Swoon Unit celebrates 10 years of mayhem this week. BEAST Streetwear is proud to partner with Swoon Unit, marking the occasion with a week of unforgettable events including EmCee battles, bboy contests and parties.

Come out to watch/compete/party and join JoJo (Rock Steady Crew) and BEAST Bboys Kwzt One and Tron, plus BEAST's own DJ SPCL GST and crews from all over the East Coast.

Swoon Unit x 10 Years

Swoon Unit is one of the region's best and oldest bboy crews and this September they celebrate 10 years of mayhem.

BEAST Streetwear is proud to support the various events that mark this special occasion, including breakdance competitions, expo battles, MC Battles, and a graffiti showcase, etc (not all on the same day!).

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 24TH: WWI EMCEE BATTLE & ANNIVERSARY KICK-OFF PARTY!

music: dj haekmatic and the remix project (this is the live hip-hop band that played at swoon unit's 7 year anniversary!)

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH: BBOY BATTLE

JoJo, founder of Rock Steady Crew will be hosting the event, with Kid Glyde (Dynamic Rockers), Abe (Flex Flav) and Daedalus (Swoon Unit) judging. BEAST's own DJ SPCLGST plus ON OF SAM and SMEDIUM will drop the beats.

BEAST Streetwear will have fresh Ts available, including a special Swoon Unit vs BEAST Collabo. This jam is going to be bananas!

Raleigh Boys and Girls Club (701 Raleigh Blvd, Raleigh NC 27601). Doors will open at 12pm and the jam will last until 5pm. More info

Battle Slam Jam 2009

Thx to everyone who came out and supported, competed and volunteered to make Battle Slam Jam 2009 such a success!

We were blessed with no rain and a great vibe all day. Scored great publicity from Creative Loafing, the Charlotte Observer, the Black Sheep blog, Skirt Magazine and a bunch of other websites - thx everyone for spreading the word.

Battle Slam Jam

BEAST, in association with Create Don't Hate, is proud to present the 2009 Battle Slam Jam featuring multiple skateboard contests, DJs, live bands, a B-boy/B-girl contest, graffiti writing, Pop & Locking, urban freestyle soccer, and much more.

The event will be filmed for Fuel TV, so sign up and participate ($10) or just turn up and watch on the day (FREE). Expert judges will award unique prize packs to all category winners.
